Window Options Inc. specializes in replacement window installation, door replacement, sliding glass door replacement, and garage door trim wraps for existing residential homes.
Window Options Inc. does not perform new construction installations. All services are performed on existing homes and structures.
All work is completed using professional installation practices and craftsmanship standards based on over 35 years of experience in the window and door industry.
Consultations are provided at no cost to the homeowner and are intended to:
• Evaluate the existing structure
• Discuss replacement options
• Provide recommendations for materials and installation
Consultations are informational and do not guarantee project approval or scheduling.
Window Options Inc. does not manufacture windows or doors.
All windows, doors, glass units, and related products are supplied by third-party manufacturers.
Because of this:
• Product warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not Window Options Inc.
• Window Options Inc. is not responsible for manufacturer defects or product performance outside of installation workmanship
• Warranty claims related to materials, glass, or product defects must be handled directly with the manufacturer according to their warranty terms
Manufacturer warranty documentation will be provided when available.
Window Options Inc. guarantees that installation work will be performed using professional installation standards.
Installation services include:
• Removal of existing windows or doors
• Installation of replacement units
• Insulation and sealing appropriate for Minnesota climate conditions
• Interior and exterior trim finishing
If an issue related directly to installation workmanship occurs, Window Options Inc. will make reasonable efforts to inspect and address the concern.
This workmanship commitment does not cover product defects, structural issues within the home, or conditions beyond the installer’s control.
Replacement projects involve working within existing homes that may contain:
• Hidden structural issues
• Previous contractor work
• Water damage
• Irregular framing
• Siding deterioration
• Insulation gaps
Window Options Inc. is not responsible for pre-existing structural conditions or damage discovered during installation.
If unforeseen conditions are discovered once a window or door is removed, additional work may be required. Any additional work will be discussed with the homeowner before proceeding.
The homeowner agrees to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area prior to installation.
Homeowner responsibilities include:
• Removing personal belongings from the work area
• Moving furniture away from windows or doors being replaced
• Securing pets during installation
• Providing clear access to the work area
Window Options Inc. takes reasonable steps to protect floors and surrounding areas using tarps and protective coverings. However, homeowners remain responsible for fragile items or belongings not removed from the workspace.
Permit requirements vary by city and municipality.
It is the responsibility of the homeowner to obtain any required permits for the work being performed prior to installation.
Window Options Inc. is not responsible for securing permits, paying permit fees, or arranging municipal approvals unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
The homeowner is responsible for ensuring all required permits and inspections are obtained according to local building regulations.
If inspections are required by the municipality, Window Options Inc. will make reasonable efforts to be available for inspectors when necessary.
Dan or a representative of Window Options Inc. may:
• Meet with inspectors if scheduling allows
• Provide installation documentation if requested
• Provide photographs of installation work if required
However, the homeowner remains responsible for scheduling inspections and coordinating with their local municipality.
During the removal and installation of windows or doors, minor disturbances to surrounding materials may occur due to the nature of working within an existing structure.
Examples may include:
• Minor drywall movement or cracking
• Trim separation
• Siding movement
• Caulk line separation
• Minor paint disruption
These conditions can occur due to structural settling or previous construction and are considered normal during replacement work.
Window Options Inc. is not responsible for cosmetic repairs outside the scope of the agreed installation work.
Window and door replacement requires temporary removal of the existing unit.
During this process, openings may be temporarily exposed to outside weather conditions for a short period of time.
Window Options Inc. takes reasonable precautions to protect the home during installation. However, Window Options Inc. cannot be held responsible for weather conditions that occur during active installation work.
Installation scheduling may be affected by:
• Product availability
• Manufacturer delays
• Weather conditions
• Project scope
• Installer availability
While every effort is made to meet estimated timelines, Window Options Inc. cannot guarantee installation dates affected by supplier delays, weather conditions, or permitting requirements.
Window Options Inc. shall not be held liable for:
• Manufacturer defects in windows or doors
• Pre-existing structural issues within the home
• Delays caused by product suppliers, weather, or permitting requirements
• Damage resulting from homeowner failure to prepare the workspace
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Window Options Inc.’s liability is limited to the cost of the installation services provided.
